Starting with the one-by-one reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's release, to trainers developing firm opinions on the entire roster of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Per the official info, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for this Pokémon to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.

Libra – Mega Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to stress more about others.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a doll, it became consciousness through pure resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion acquaintances.
